Samsung‘s big ‘unpacked’ event is today, August 9th, where it is slated to release the flagship Galaxy Note 9 smartphone. The company will do the unveiling of the smartphone in New York at 11:00 am local time, which translates to 8:30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST). Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Note 9 launch event will be livestreamed, those interested can catch the action on the brand’s official page

If you’re wondering about the specifications of the Galaxy Note 9, here’s a summary based on multiple leaks (some official) and rumours. The handset is expected to feature a 6.4-inch QHD+ display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It will rock Exynos 9810 in India and SD 845 SoC in the US aided with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage space. A 4,000mAh is likely to fuel the handset, which would run Android Oreo-based Experience UI out of the box.  For photography, it’s likely to sport dual 12MP sensors on the rear with LED flash and variable apertures. Moreover, the Note 9 will come with improved S-Pen features and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The price and selfie camera of the Galaxy Note 9 are the only hidden factor. Samsung is expected to announce it during the event where it is also expected to take wraps off the rumoured Galaxy Watch and Wireless Charging Duo.
